New scrap room inspiration

So right now I have a very wonderful scrap room. It’s cute and has worked for 2 years but I am ready for a change. I’ve decided to switch it with the guestroom ( the closet is MUCH bigger). In my quest for inspiration I have landed upon these lovely rooms. Not one of these is ‘the’ one but there are qualities from each of these rooms I would like when I redo mine.

{These 2 are my favorite}

{I’m thinking about building a table in the middle like this one}

6-8-10

Ahhhhaaa this is the last week of school 🙂

The end of the year can be exciting and a little sad. The great thing about teaching the young ones is I’ll get to see them for a few more years. However sometimes they forget you, or get shy around you but that’s OK because they need to move on and bond with their new teacher just as the did with me.

Challenge sneak

Today I am giving you just a sneak of my layout from Ann-Marie’s most recent challenge. I have the concept and supplies but no photos yet. So once I get the pics I’ll share the whole thing.

My challenge to you is to document what you love about summer. Maybe something specific this year or something you enjoy every summer.
This is my way of giving myself a little pep-talk seeing summer is my least favorite season. Don’t get me wrong I love to swim and eat watermelon but the heat…no thank you.

Glitter Fest

If you know me you know I can’t resist anything sparkly. It’s just ingrained in me (like the need to scrapbook). Why should my layouts be any different? I randomly found this picture of my best friend and I at my winter formal my senior year (yes it was almost 10 years ago…gasp) and it all just kind of came together.

My name is Cherie and I’m a glitter-holic ♥

p.s. pictures just don’t do it justice

New wall art

Lately I’ve been in a super crafty mood. Today I made a trip to the thrift shop to see if there were any treasures, there was! I go this frame and letter J for a total of $2.00! With the help of a little spray paint and left over wrapping paper I have new art!

Once I get all the frames up I’ll post some pics. It’s been quite the process gathering enough frames to cover my wall. Can’t wait till it’s done 🙂

Happy Memorial Day!

My day will most likely consist Starbucks, tanning, watermelon, tanning, hotdogs and maybe a little more tanning. But before I start that I want to share a mini album I made with the photos I took at Reflections.

Enjoy your day!

Meeting Kelly Purkey

So one of the great teachers at Reflections was Kelly Purkey!

She was super nice!

This layout is one of the layouts she was teaching in class:

Here is my take:

I changed mine up a little because I only had one photo and the topic was different. One of the things I liked most about her class was the fact she didn’t mind if we changed it. The class included 5 layouts but this is the only one I have done so far.

Hopefully I’ll have time soon to finish the projects we started at Reflections…

Challenge day!

It feels god to be catching up on challenges (finally)! Ann-Maire’s challenge was to create a layout using this photo:

Here is my take on the challenge:

Reflections

A few weeks ago I got to go to the Reflections event in Newport Beach, CA. It was so so so fun!!!! We took 7 classes with some of the most amazing teachers. This week I’ll be posting some of the projects we made. The classes were way more involved then the time allotted for them so most of us needed to finish them after we left.

We made some new friends

They gave us extra goodies each day! Like punches, stamps sets, treats, and these cute tiny scissors…I love surprises ♥

The class kits were awesome and we were left with lots of extra product to keep!

We stayed at the Hyatt in Newport. The hotel was so beautiful!

Ale and I loved the classes! (us in Elizabeth Kartchner’s class)

Aside from all that there was a bonfire, Isle Carnival (with a bunch of free make and takes), and crop nights. If they do it again I will for sure be there!!!!!

Thank you so much Susan for putting it on!
