Guilty pleasures

There are so many things I could have done this challenge about, staying up late, Starbucks trips, even scrapbooking, however I chose my shopping trips to Target. It’s one of my most fave stores and I’ve been there a lot lately. Especially with their new line, Liberty of London, coming out. Love, love, love!

I used some of the new note cards, I just used my square punch to punch them out. It’s kind of what inspired this layout.

Have a great day!!!

5 things…

Here are 5 things that made me smile today:

1. While at work 2 of the kids were fighting over the same truck. I was watching to see if they could work it out on their own (they weren’t hurting each other just pulling it back and forth) when one of them yells out “Teacher we’re fighting!”

2. Snuggling on the couch with Poncho 🙂

3. Free drink at Starbucks (it always seems to taste better if you don’t have to pay for it)

4. This photo:

(it’s a little hard to give each other a kiss with helmets on)

5. Over hearing the sweet older ladies at the thrift shop talk about how the things in there remind them of when they were little. And how that reminded me of my grandpa. He used to come home with the most random things from the thrift shop.

Poncho Update

So my little baby guy has Pulmonary Hypertension.

(he fell asleep while standing up on the car ride home from the desert…too cute huh?)

This explains why his heart was enlarged and why he was having trouble breathing. The good news is it can be controlled with a pill everyday. And the funny part is they prescribed him Cialis (haha yes you’ve seen the commercials). I guess it’s original reason for being made was to control pulmonary hypertension. Go figure 🙂

Back in action!

Finally figured out how to fix my blog thanks to the wonderful help forum and people who know what they’re doing 🙂

Here are some pictures of my coffee filter garland. First I tried spraying some with glimmer mist. They turned out cute but the color was only on the outside. You could still see the white middle. It didn’t bother me too much, but for the amount of ‘flowers’ I was making it would just use up way too much of my beloved glimmer mist. Ok so on to plan B: food coloring. This worked perfectly!

First I filled my pot with warm tap water then added the food coloring. I let them soak for about a minute. Took them out and placed them on my ‘holding’ area. That way I could get a new batch soaking while I spread the other ones out.

Next I hung them out to dry.

Glued them together and ta-dah! Coffee filter garland. The coffee filters I bought turned out to be pretty big. The flowers are about 10″ – 12″ in diameter. Not sure where I am going to put them for my party but I knew they were a must. After my party I will post pics.

Hugs!

Well…….

the backgrounds back but I still have no idea why the other stuff is on the bottom. Purely puzzling! Does anyone have any suggestions? When I’m looking at it in the customize layout area it looks right.

Dear Blog, we had a good thing going please work with me!

GRRRR…..

So I have no idea what is going on with my blog and why the stuff that should be on the side is now on the bottom. Plus I just made my background go away (I have no idea how that happened! So I will have to try and fix it this weekend. Sorry for the un-cute blog 😦 Hopefully it will be back soon.

Opps!

Yesterday was my day to post a new challenge. Sorry girls…I didn’t even turn my computer on yesterday. Ok here it is: scrapbook about a guilty pleasure.

Here’s the wikipedia definition of guilty pleasure:
“A guilty pleasure is something one enjoys and considers pleasurable despite feeling guilt for enjoying it. Often, the “guilt” involved is simply fear of others discovering one’s lowbrow or otherwise embarrassing tastes, rather than actual moral guilt. Fashion, music,[1] and food (especially unhealthier foods high in sugar and/or fat) can be examples of guilty pleasures.[2]”

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Flutter…

This photo is grainy and dark but I love it! It was taken last spring. We were laying in our back yard, on our patio chairs, when it started raining. Just a few moments of that amazing rain smell & us just relaxing together. Wonderfulness…

p.s. I have no idea why my photo and everything are not on the side where they belong. Is it like that when you look at it or just me?
