December Daily

It’s done! I am so thrilled to have it complete and I’m happy with how it turned out. Here’s some sneak peaks of it:

Poncho’s trying to figure out what is taking my attention away from him πŸ™‚

It’s been rainy and cloudy here today so it’s making it hard to take good pics. Hopefully tomorrow will be sunny so I can get some fab pics πŸ™‚

Christmas Highlights

It already feels like Christmas was ages ago, doesn’t it? This year we had the best Christmas we have had in a long time. No drama, good food, and fun! Thank goodness :)Here are some of my favorite shots from Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

This year I went a little tree crazy, but hey why not?

Christmas mania

The Christmas craziness is in full swing around here. I’m still playing catch up from all things I didn’t get done when I was sick. Decorating the house has been my most favorite part so far. I love trying new things and making new stuff for the holidays. One thing I am very very anxious for is getting a new camera. Since my good one broke I’ve been using my back, which is a back up for a reason. The photos are just not quite right. At least I have one to use for now.

This is the amazing sunset we had Saturday. And that is me wishing for snow πŸ™‚ on the news yesterday they were showing people digging their cars out from under the snow and I was a little jealous. It’s been in the 80’s and way too hot for me. It’s making it feel like we should be getting ready for the 4th of July instead of Christmas. Bring on the cold!!!!!

House #1

Since last Thursday I have been pretty much out of commission. I caught a cold that took me out like none I have had before. It was super frustrating because I had SO much I wanted to do this weekend. Not to mention it was the first days of December and I had been looking forward to doing my December daily for like a month. So yesterday I finally started to feel better so I made this:

It’s going to be part of a little village I’m making for my living room. I have a whole list decorations I want to make so hopefully this week I will get some time to bust them out πŸ™‚

Love this

While searching online for Christmas quotes I came across this:

“Tradition: sit with husband in a room lit only by tree lights and remember that our blessings outnumber the lights. Happy Christmas to all.” ~Betsy CaΓ±as Garmon

Love it so much!

One more day

Just one more day until December! I’m super excited to get started on my December daily album. I remember last year loving it. The process that worked best for me was everyday writing down what I had done that day and what stories I wanted to share. After that I printed out my pictures. If had time that night I added them to the book otherwise I had everything ready so I could add them easily the next day.

(leaves I used to decorate my Thanksgiving table)

Thank you everyone for your sweet comments about my album πŸ™‚

Being thankful

Sometimes it’s hard to be thankful. After losing my brother in May and my Aunt in September I try everyday to be thankful for all I have. It has made me realize how short life is and how fast it can pass. I miss them tremendously. Connor (my brother) was way too young. He brought so much joy to our family. I do have to say that through his illness it has brought our family closer, and for that I am thankful.

I am thankful for my nephew, who constantly cracks everyone up. And who at Thanksgiving dinner, while I was praying, yelled out “Auntie Cherie” (in his most monster like voice). It has keep us laughing all weekend.

I am thankful for the moments we shared. Just hanging out, being goofy, and laughing.

So remember to make sure all the people you love know it. Spend time with them and take lots of pictures ☺ You never know how things may change.

December Daily

Last week I was finally able to work on my December Daily album. I’m super excited for Christmas!!! Here is the cover, it’s acrylic. I’m going to punch holes in the book but I can’t decide if I want 2 or 3 holes.

Some inside pages. last year I numbered them ahead of time and ended up having to redo several pages because I didn’t leave myself enough room. This time I’m leaving it very vague so I can make it work for the number of photos i have for each day.

The back cover is wood. I sprayed it with a light pink glimmer mist then added the mask and sprayed a darker pink. Love the way it turned out!
