Busy bee…

This last week I have been in such a creative mood. I love it! Here are some of the layouts I have finished.

Here is my little wet guy…he is so mad at me right now for giving him a bath!

Oh I almost forgot…this week is my turn to do the challenge. OK girls here it is make a layout using only scraps and 1 piece of cardstock. Have fun!

Cricut love!

Ahhh…one of the best inventions ever was the Cricut! I totally forgot how much I love that thing! With it’s endless possibilities and easy to use functions I don’t know how I ever scrapbooked without it. So Gen’s challenge for us was to use our die cutting machine…so I busted out the Cricut and started cutting. Here is what happened:

I used the Home Accents cartridge to cut out the butterflies. After I cut them out I covered them with glitter. So beautiful I even did my nails! Now I look like a sparkly smurf πŸ™‚ so fun!

Monday already!?!?

I swear I blinked and then it was Monday again! Life is just passing me by way too fast these days. Anyone see the season finally of Grey’s Anatomy? It really made me think about how fast things in life can change. So I’m trying to have fun and not take the little things too seriously. I believe we should all try to enjoy life as much as we can and just have fun! Right now my dad and brother are in Alaska. I was really nervous for them to go (especially Connor) but the more I thought about it the more I realized they just need to have fun. I hope they have the best time and really bond.

Sunday we went to my mom’s for a celebration. My sister, Renee, and her family got baptized so we had a lunch for them. Jeff and Riley had such a good time. They got into a water fight. Riley just adores him!

Here’s Maylee and I…she is getting so big!

Drum roll please…here is a picture of this weeks challenge. It was the first time I ever used my sewing machine to stitch on a layout. Super fun!

It’s challenge day!

This weekend just flew by! I hope all of you had a great mother’s day! Now I can post the picture from Gen’s challenge. It was to do a layout about your mom. I made this for her. It’s on a wood block I got at the dollar section in Target. I can’t enough of that place!

Last weeks challenge was to use your favorite technique. I choose to do stamping and embossing. After I embossed the image I sprayed it with glimmer mist.

This week it’s my turn for the challenge so here it is girls ~ use the sketch below and you must do some sort of stitching on it. Have fun!!!!

A beautiful day…

Tonight was one of those super relaxing wonderful nights! Jeff and I ate a candle lite dinner outside and just chilled. The weather was perfect! Jeff finally tried out one of the lounge chairs he made me for Christmas…he enjoyed it! It has been so nice having him home more!

I just love him!!!

On Tuesday my next door neighbor, Karen, and I went to the water conservation garden at cuyamaca college. It was really neat! We were both trying to get ideas for our back yards. These are some of the amazing flowers and plants they had there.
Why do they have to make the names so crazy hard to pronounce?

These last few weeks have been really busy so I haven’t had much time to create things…hopefully things will slow a little so I can bust out some art!

Challenge

Last week Gen’s scrapbook challenge was to make a layout about why we love and cherish our mother’s. I will be posting mine next week because the thing I made is for my Mom (and she reads this, Hi Mom!). Check back soon!

Phew…

what a busy weekend! The sports bar Jeff has been working on for a year finally opened! It was so exciting to see it full of people. I am so proud of him it is a huge accomplishment in his career!

These are a few pics from the soft opening. Both our family’s were there and we all had a good time! So Sunday Jeff got done early at work because he can’t really work while they are open. He had no clue to do with himself! So what better to do than lie on the ground in the back yard!?!? Poncho was a little weired out by this and stood by him the whole time (see they love each other).

As soon as I got my camera and started to take a picture of Jeff sleeping Poncho had to jump right in on the action. He would not get out of the pictures, what a little ham! Well I hope all of you had a great weekend too!

Oh so cute!

This week at school we have been talking about kings and queens so I have lots of princess dresses and accessories out. Riley thought he would give it a try…

Isn’t that so cute! Total blackmail picture when he gets older. Tomorrow is open house and I have so much to do…uuggghhhh! Peace out πŸ™‚

Monday is funday!

I don’t know why I love Mondays so much? Maybe it’s the extra day off work? They just seem mellow to me…nice and relaxing.
OK so my friend Gen and I do weekly scrapbook challenges. We alternate between the two of us to choose the new challenge. Last week was my turn…I choose the topic of fashion (of course) and we had to use fabric on the layout somewhere. For some reason this was really hard for me (I know what’s wrong with me it’s fashion) but once I choose the pictures it only took me like 20 min. Here is my layout (sorry for that bad photo I’ll try to take one during the day):

Title: I could never be a nudist!

Journaling: I love how having the perfect outfit can make your day, change your mood, and boost self-confidence. It’s such a fun way to express oneself. I love fashion for the same reasons as scrapbooking the colors, textures, and endless possibilities. Fashionista at heart!

So much fun…

So Friday night we went to a red carpet event for my brother, Connor’s, prom. It was so fun to see him all dressed up.

Connor and his date Laura were so cute. He said they had a great time.

Thanks to all the people with the friends of Scott Foundation who put it on. It was amazing! OK so the most exciting part for me was meeting Charger defensive tackle #93 Luis Castillo!

He was so nice…he stoped to take a picture with me. (for some reason the color turned out crazy)

Jeff actually came with us! It was so nice to spend an evening out with him. After the red carpet was done and Connor was in the prom, the rest of us went to dinner at the Prado in Balboa Park. I love the decor in there. It made me feel like I was having dinner at someones house. OK well off to do house work…
